Gabriella Curry’s design philosophy has been shaped both by her family’s influence, her father was an architect, and by her extensive experience working with the world’s leading interior and fashion designers.

Born in Milan, she attended school in Italy, Austria and Canada. She studied Interior Design at the American University in Paris and attended the Parson’s School of Design in Paris.

Gabriella began her career with Karl Lagerfeld in Paris and later worked with renowned French designers Chantal Thomass and George Rech. Her career took her to Munich where she worked for four years at ELLE Magazine. Later, she joined the staff of ELLE Décor Magazine when it was launched in 1988. She returned to Italy to work for Gianni Versace at the height of Versace’s success.

Working with clients and businesses of distinction, Gabriella’s successful interior design business led to the opening of Interni Interior Design and Gallery 16 years ago. The Interni showroom, the first of its kind in the Bahamas, exclusively represents the DePadova furniture line from Milan, Italy. It also features modern art and unique accessories found only at Interni.

Gabriella has designed for private homes, estates, businesses  and has created sophisticated corporate interiors. She works closely with the leading Design Centers in the United States and Europe to help each client achieve their vision.

Her design philosophy includes mixing modern furniture with antiques. She believes a home should have a compilation of styles, not just one look, to make it interesting and real. Designing and decorating a personal space takes time so the result is an environment that is not just “filled” but created with treasures that make it singular and unique.
